The CyanogenMod Team has rolled out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean supported custom ROM CM10.1 (Nightly) for US cellular Galaxy S3 SCH-R530 device.

This Custom ROM install tips is only for Galaxy S3 R530 device. Don’t make an effort this tips for any other similar Galaxy S III device. Besides, we are not answerable for any loss to the device due to the tips specified in this post. So you have to try this at your individual risk.
Remind to Necessary important points before proceed the install process
- Make sure that all data backup of the device has been transferred to a memory card.
- Your Galaxy S III device’s battery should be charged up to 90-95 % battery level. It is important otherwise your device may be dead or power off during installation.
- Install Galaxy USB driver to your computer. Download it.
- Activate USB Debugging option on your Galaxy device with the purpose to transfer files between computer and device
- Confirm that your device has done root action earlier.
In this post, we have provided step-by-step tips on how to install custom ROM CM10.1 on Galaxy S3 R530 device?
Step -1
At first, you have to download both ZIP file to the computer by clicking on it.

Remark – Don’t extract any ZIP files.
Step-2
Connect your Galaxy S III device to the computer via USB cable. Then transfer the downloaded both ZIP files of custom ROM and Google apps to the memory card of your S III device. After finishing this process, unplug the USB cable and power of your device.
Step-3
Next, boot into CWM recovery mode. To do so, press and hold the three keys (Volume Up, Power and Home) at once for few seconds. Then Samsung logo appears on the device’s screen. Release all three buttons only for single second and hold them another time. As a result, CWM recovery screen will show on the screen quickly. Under recovery mode, both volume buttons are used to surf options while Power button is used to pick any option.
Step-4
In this stage, search for Custom ROM zip file in the memory card that you have transferred already in step 2. Next, press the power button to select it. On the next screen, you will get a confirmation message and opting Yes – Install ………Zip option. The process of ROM installation will start.
Step-5
One time the ROM installation procedure finishes, retry the method of step 4. But, select the zip file of Google apps package in place of ROM zip file in the memory card. As soon as installation is done, return to the main recovery mode screen. Here, select reboot system now options to reboot the device.
During this, your galaxy S3 SCH-R530 device will boot with installed Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROM CM10.1 about 5-7 minutes.
