Reset Windows update cache

  • Click on “Search” and type cmd.
  • Select “Run as administrator”.
  • When Command prompt opens, run the following commands sequentially:
net stop bits
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptsvc

  • Accept the license agreement.
  • Choose “Upgrade this PC now” and click “Next”.
  • Once the “Ready to install” screen appears, select “Choose what to keep” and pick what is necessary for you.
  • Select the “Install” option and wait for the procedure to finish. The PC may restart multiple times.
