YouTube Kids is a fantastic app designed keeping in mind the behavior of kids and their quest to know different things related to science, general knowledge etc. It comes with handy parental controls.
How to Set Parental Controls on YouTube Kids
When you open YouTube Kids for the first time, it starts playing chipper music by default. It gets chipper after four-five seconds and then you really want to turn it off. To turn this off, tap the lock icon present in the lower right-hand corner. This will access you the parental controls. Now using these controls, you can set time limits on use, disable the search option etc.
Disabling the Search option might be too harsh on the children, so according to my own opinion one should not enable this as then the app will lose its value among kids because of no exploration.
