Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 18922 Rolled out

Microsoft has rolled out Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 18922 just a few moments ago. The devkit update contains multiple bug fixes and under development changes to the API surface area. You can get the SDK Build 18922 from developer section on Windows Insider.

The build brings updates to the tools Message Compiler (mc.exe), TraceLoggingProvider.h, and Windows Trace Preprocessor (tracewpp.exe). In addition, the release has removed irprops.lib from the Windows SDK. Windows developer blog has enlisted the APIs that have been added to the platform since the release of Windows 10 SDK, version 1903, build 18362.

The update comes with several significant changes in Message Compiler (mc.exe). This tool will now onward detect the Unicode byte order mark (“BOM”) in .mc files. Apart from this, Windows Trace Preprocessor (tracewpp.exe) has got some important enhancements. This will support Unicode input, for example, .ini, .tpl, and source code files. There are some behavior changes in the SDK tool also included. TraceLoggingProvider.h has received the capability to avoid problems caused by conflicting configuration macros.
