Galaxy Pocket Duos S5302 How to Install DDMB1 Android 2.3.6 Firmware

The most recent firmware DDMB1 Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread has been launched for Galaxy Pocket Duos S5302 in India. In this context, Samsung has sent OTA message to install DDMB1 firmware to every S5302 user through Samsung KIES. If any users have not received this OTA message still now then they can start the firmware installation process by hand using ODIN method.

Don’t attempt this tips to any similar Galaxy Duos device.  Besides, how-to-connect is not to be blamed for any break related issues (dead) to the device as per given the tips in the current page.  So, start the firmware update process at personal risk.

Pre-Requisites things

  • Backup data of Duos S5302 device to a memory card. User can also backup through Samsung KIES to the computer.
  • Confirm that your S5302 device should have fully charged.
  • Download and Install USB driver on your computer.
  • Turn on USB Debugging mode on the S5302 device.

How to Install DDMB1 Android 2.3.6 Firmware on Galaxy Pocket Duos S5302:

Step-1

At first, download and Install both Zip files on your computer and extract it.

Odin 3.07

Step-2

Switch off your Galaxy Duos S5302 device and boot into download mode. For this, press and hold the Volume Down, Home, and Power button jointly until you get Samsung logo with green color labeled Android robot logo. Now Press Volume Up button to boot into download mode.

Step-3

Now right-click on Odin3 v3.07.exe (find it in Step 1) and choose Run as an Administrator from right context panel. Then connect USB cable to Duos S5302 device and the computer. After 5 minutes, In ODIN window, you will receive a message “Added” at the bottom left side.

Step-4

Select the following flash files from S5302DDMB1 extracted folder [find in Step 1] in ODIN window while you click at particular options.

  • Click on the PDA option and select the .tar file now with *code* showing in its name
  • Click on the Phone option and select file with *modem* in its name.
  • Click on the CSC option and select file with *csc* in its name
  • Click on the PIT option, and select the .pit file.

Step-5

In ODIN window, check both options which are Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. In addition, confirm that Re-Partition options are checked, only if you have selected .Pit file in step 4.

Step-6

Now, click on the START button to start the update process with DDMB1 firmware.

Step-7

When the firmware update process is finished, the duo’s S5302 device will reboot automatically. Then you will get a message “PASS” with green background on the top left panel of ODIN window.

Now your Galaxy Pocket Duos S5302 device will run with just installed Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread supported S5302DDMB1 firmware.
