Windows 11 22H2, the current Beta Channel of Windows 11 insider, has received an update with a small number of fixes and improvements. KB5017390 is the cumulative update that brings the split builds. One of them is Windows 11 Build 22622.598 which will get the new features whereas 22621.598 is the second for which the roll out of features is stopped. Settings
- After installing KB5017390, you will no longer be able to uninstall apps (such as Steam and gaming apps running on Steam) with inter-dependencies for the time being. Furthermore, you cannot repair Win32 apps located under Settings => Apps => Installed apps. However, you can modify and uninstall Win32 apps without inter-dependencies.
Build 22622.598 Fixes
File Explorer
- Windows 11 Build 22622.598 rollout fixed launch folder windows in a separate process that is not being able to launch File Explorer in the last two flights due to an explorer.exe crash. The issue affects a small set of Insiders.
- Also, the release fixed the top part of File Explorer (with the address bar) that could not be interacted with when File Explorer was full screen (F11).
- The new LCU Beta channel fixed command bar items like copy, paste, and empty recycle bin that may unexpectedly not be enabled when they should be.
Fixes for both Build 22621.598 & Build 22622.598
- Both builds fixed duplicate print queue. As a result, the original print queue stops working.
- The experts in the insider team fixed an issue that affects Roaming User Profiles. Because of this issue, some of your settings are not restored after you sign in or sign out.
Known issues
General
- This is a new known issue; clicking the network icon on the Lock screen doesn’t work. Moreover, this will crash the Lock screen and may require you to reboot to log in. Subsequent to logging in, you will be able to switch between wireless networks as needed.
