Build 22623.875 and 22621.875 bug fixes

  1. The experts in the team enhanced the backup experience when using your MSA. This enhancement can be seen as visual treatments on these devices. Currently, this is available to a little amount of audience and it will be deployed more broadly in the months that follow.
  2. The LCU for Beta channel fixed a problem that might affect some types TLS and SSL connections. These connections might have handshake failures. The affected connections are likely to send several frames and then a partial frame with fewer than 5 bytes within a single input buffer for developers. The error message is SEC_E_ILLEGAL_MESSAGE if the connection fails.
  3. The experts stopped the start of DST in Jordan at the end of October 2022. The Jordan time zone will forever shift to the UTC + 3-time zone.
  4. Windows 11 Build 22623.875 and 22621.875 fixed a problem that affects transparency in layered windows. This occurs when you are in HD remote applications integrated locally aka RAIL mode.

Known issues

General

  1. The team is looking into feedback about audio stopped working for some Insiders in recent builds.

Tablet-optimized taskbar

  1. One issue is the flashing of the taskbar that occurs when transitioning between tablet posture and desktop posture.
  2. In this rollout KB5018486, the taskbar takes more time than expected to transition to the touch-optimized version. This occurs when switching between desktop posture and tablet posture.
  3. In Windows 11 22623.875 and 22621.875 KB5018486, the taskbar sometimes stays stuck in the expanded state rather than dismissing to the collapsed state. This occurs when using the lowermost right-edge gesture to see Quick Settings.
