The penultimate version of Windows 11 has received a patch following the routine second Tuesday releases. KB5018418 is the release that brings important improvements regarding internal functionalities of the System. The LCU increases the version to Windows 11 22000.1098.

Move forward with either of the underneath methods to mitigate this problem –
Clear off the check box against – Run in logged-on user’s security context (an option in user policy). Important to know that this might not solve the problem for items through a wildcard (*). Change Action from Replace to Update in the affected Group Policy. In the condition, a wildcard (*) is utilized in the destination or location, removing the trailing \ (backslash) from the destination might permit the copy to be successful. How to download KB5018418 and install on Windows 11 22H2
Prior to receiving the patch, confirm that SSU 22000.1035 is installed on the system. Now move forward with either of the below-mentioned methods –
1] Through Auto Windows update
- Click – Search.
- Type – updates.
- Hit – Enter.
- Once on the Settings program, select – Check for updates.
- The system will scan and download the patch in some time depending on Internet speed.
- Select Restart now when a pop-up asks.
2] Using Manual way
- Navigate to the KB5018418 download link.
- Discover the standalone file that can support your device on the Microsoft update catalog.
- Select Download from the right end.
- An isolated page will appear; click on the link present there.
- Back to the desktop, double click on .MSU file.
- On the verification prompt, click –Yes.
