Release Preview version of Windows 11 Insider is testing Moment 5 update to roll it out with the final version 23H2. This experimentation is running for features like Voice access, Windows Share, and Android device-captured Photo editing instant capability to Snipping tool. Apart from this, many small changes are included. In this regard, on 15/02/204, KB5034848 is the cumulative update released that brings this Release preview build and increases the 23H2 and 22H2 versions to Windows 11 Build 22631.3227 and 22621.3227 respectively.

Changes and improvements
- KB5034848 makes Voice access accessible in more languages such as Spanish (Spain, Mexico), French (France, Canada), and German.
- Voice access features are available on multiple displays.
- Custom commands or Voice shortcuts in voice access.
- The build added the facility to listen to a preview of the 10 natural voices in Narrator before downloading.
- Windows 11 Builds 22631.3227 and 22621.3227 use voice access to open applications, dictate text and interact with elements on the screen. You can also use voice to command the Narrator.
- The Windows share window will utilize the accounts that are used to sign in for applications located in Share.
- This feature now started supporting sharing with WhatsApp in the Share using section. Furthermore, you can install the WhatsApp app from the Windows share window.
- Quick Settings or the Settings app allows you to enable Nearby Share. If Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are off, these will turn on to make Nearby Share work as you expect. On turning off Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, Nearby Share will turn off as well.
- From Settings => System => Nearby sharing renaming device is featured.
- Nearby Share transfer is speedier for users on the same network. Before, users had to be on the same private network. Now, users must be on the same public or private network.
- Quick settings Cast flyout menu offers you more help to find nearby displays, repair connections, and more.
- The rollout is adding suggestions to Snap Layouts to instantly snap multiple app windows together.
Particularly, before this build installation if you have enabled “Get the latest updates as soon they’re available” under “Settings > Windows Update” you will notice Windows Configuration Update (KB5035349). Once you have installed the configuration update the release preview build will be automatically installed.

- The Copilot in Windows icon is located on the right side of the system tray on the taskbar in this RP channel build. Furthermore, the “Show desktop” at the rightmost corner of the taskbar will be turned off by default. In order to bring back the icon, go to Settings => Personalization => Taskbar. You can also reach Taskbar settings by right-clicking on Taskbar.
- The settings page of Phone Link is renamed Mobile devices. To access the location go to Settings => Bluetooth & devices => Mobile devices.
Improvements and Changes
- Snipping Tool gets a feature to edit the most recent photos and screenshots from paired Android device. The PC will get an instant notification when the linked Android device captures a new photo or screenshot. To enable this, go to Settings => Bluetooth & devices => Mobile devices. Select Manage devices and allow your PC to access your Android device.
- KB5034848 RP channel update affects games you install on a secondary drive. Now, they stay installed on the drive.
- Windows 11 Builds 22631.3227 and 22621.3227 address Notepad not opening issue for the standard user account. This occurs when opening Notepad based on file type association using Command Prompt.
- The build addresses 8 Zip preventing you from opening archives by double-clicking them in File Explorer.
