While we discuss about best Android web browsers then Opera, Firefox, Dolphin and chrome are known as the leading browser apps. But, these browsers are heavyweight. On the other side, several fast, simple and handy mobile browsers are also present as an alternate choice for Android platform. In this context I have already discussed about Baidu Browser for Android.
Now a new lightweight mobile browser app named Lightning Browser has been developed by XDA member. The file size of Lightening Browser is only 200 KB. It is possibly one of the lowest weighing Android browsers present in the Play Store with the complete feature like Adobe Flash support. The Lightening Browser offers several similar features like Chrome and other browsers such as tabbed browsing, bookmarks management, sharing of webpage, password catching, touch-to-zoom gesture and many more.
Feature of Lightning Browser
- As mentioned above, Lightning Browser offers built-in Adobe Flash Player to stream or playback Flash content of video sharing websites on Android device. In addition, Android user can also track to view of preferred webpage
- The browser lets a user to work up to five different tabs at the same time. User can add a new tab in the same method like chrome or other browsers (through tapping the + button). In order to close any running tab, user needs to hold down on it for few seconds.
- The settings screen of the Lightning browser is used to set desired homepage, auto-delete app cache after exit, enable or disable the password storing feature for websites or Adobe Flash support and etc.
- Having checked out the app on latest Android devices like Samsung Galaxy, HTC Desire and Nexus 10, we found it to be faster than other similar browsers in conditions of both loading and browsing.
On latest Android 4.1 jelly Bean and above, generally Flash content does not support. So, at first user has to install Adobe flash Player app with the purpose of streaming flash content within Lightning browser.
