Beta channel has received yet another build with the mass number of fixes and improvements. Beta Channel insiders who updated for Copilot in Windows experience may come across the below-known issues:

  • The experts are aware of Canary and Dev Channels problem where Copilot is auto-launching unexpectedly after restarting the PC. They hope to have a fix for this issue soon which is unrelated to the auto-launching experience in early February This was stopped rolling out in March.
  • In KB5037002, Voice access does not perform reliably with the updated Copilot in Windows experience that presents the Copilot to act like a normal application.
  • Windows Ink will not function with the updated Copilot in Windows experience when writing.

Widgets

Beta Channel which provided a new position for the Widgets entry-point on left-aligned taskbars may come across:

  • Widgets’ Swipe invocation may not function when the taskbar is center-aligned rather than left-aligned.
  • Widgets unpinning may not be successful if the taskbar is center-aligned instead of left-aligned.
  • In Windows 11 Build 22635.3566, Widgets board is wrongly placed when Copilot is in side-by-side mode.
  • Enabling/disabling Widgets in taskbar settings may refresh the taskbar.

How to download KB5037002 and install

  • Navigate to “Settings > Windows Update” and click on Check for updates.
  • Click on Restart now when the process of downloading Windows 11 Build 22635.3566 is complete.
  • You can also go to the Windows insider ISO download link and select Windows 11 Insider Preview (Beta Channel) – Build 22635.
  • Click on Confirm and select a language.
  • Again confirm and select 64-bit download.
  • Mount the ISO file and run Setup.exe.
