Delete leftovers of WD Sam Discovery:

  1. Then press Windows and E simultaneously to access File Explorer.
  2. On the ribbon of the File Explorer, hover on See more and select Options.
  3. Switch to the View tab.
  4. Check the option Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
  5. Click on Apply and close Folder options window.
  6. Then click on Local disk (C:) from the Quick access navigation pane on the left side.
  7. Go to Users and then double-click on the folder named with your Username.
  8. Locate .wdc and delete it.
  9. Open AppData.
  10. Then go to Local and enter the Temp directory.
  11. Delete all the folders titled WD Discovery.
  12. In the same way, find the following folders and remove them –
