How to Get aadhar card online

The enrolments for Aadhar Cards are generally over in most states of the country and now people are being dispatched it by post. Yet, there are many who are still to receive their aadhar cards. For them, the UIDAI or the ‘Unique Identification Authority of India’ who is responsible for the creation of Aadhar cards, have launched an online web portal on their website where you may enter the requisite details and get an e-aadhar card which can be printed and used as an original Aadhar card. Follow the steps below to know how to get your e-aadhar card:-

(i) When you were enrolled for the aadhar card, then you were given an acknowledgement slip by the enrolment officers. This slip contains your enrolment number and the date and time of enrolment, which is necessary for obtaining access to your e-aadhar card. So make sure that you have your acknowledgement slip with the enrolment number and date and time of enrolment.

(ii) Click E Adhaar Card to enter the e-aadhar page. Fill in your details as enrolment number, date and time of enrolment, name, Pin Code and the Captcha Code in the proper fields and then click on the Submit Button.

(iii) The portal will then try to register/identify you with the mobile number that you had entered at the time of enrolment. The last four digits of your mobile number will be displayed. If they are the last digits of your number then click on the YES button. The portal will provide you with an OTP or One Time Password on your mobile number. This will be a verification code which you will have enter further. In case the mobile number displayed is wrong then you may click on the NO button and enter the correct mobile number. You will receive the OTP on that number.

(iv) The portal will then ask you to enter the OTP which you received on your phone. Once you enter this OTP you will get access to your e-aadhar card.

(v) Then the portal provides you with a link to the pdf format of your card. To open it, you will have to enter your pin code (in the acknowledgement slip) as the password. You can then download this. Get a print-out done.
