March 2021 Patch Tuesday cumulative update is started rolling out Windows 10 20H2 and v 2004 have received the patch. KB5000802 is the security update that includes some significant improvements and fixes increasing the version to 19042.867 and 19041.867.
You can download KB5000802 through automatic Windows update moreover manually from Microsoft update catalog. The update will require a reboot to finish the installation.

Improvements and fixes
Addresses an elevation of privilege security vulnerability documented in CVE-2021-1640 related to print jobs submitted to “FILE:” ports. After installing Windows updates from March 9, 2021 and later, print jobs that are in a pending state before restarting the print spooler service or restarting the OS will remain in an error state. Manually delete the affected print jobs and resubmit them to the print queue when the print spooler service is online.

Computers will only be impacted if they are running with LCU pushed on Sept 16, 2020, or greater. This basically occurs when managed devices are updated using obsolete bundles or media via an update management tool, for instance, WSUS or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Before starting to install the March 2021 LCU make sure you have installed the latest SSU KB4598481 for Windows 10 20H2 and 2004. Then follow the method –
1. Via Automatic Windows update
- Click the – Start icon located on the taskbar.
- Type – updates and hit – Enter.
- After some time the patch will be downloaded and ask you to Restart now; click it.
2. Through Microsoft update catalog
